  2. Did the Veteran serve for at least 90 consecutive days, at least one day of which was during a ” Defined War Period ” ?
    • > World War I I  =  December 7,1941  through December 1946, Service ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
      > Korean Conflict  =  June 27, 1950  through January 31, 1955, Service ANYWHERE IN WORLD
NOTE : The Viet Nam conflict is officially divided into two distinct ” Defined War Periods ” ~
      > Viet Nam ” Era ” = February 28, 1961 through August 5, 1964. Service HAD TO BE ” Boots on the  Ground ” in the Republic of Viet Nam or, if NAVY, on ship within 12 nautical miles of Viet Nam coast
      > Viet Nam ” War ” = August 6, 1964  through May 7, 1975. Service ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
  3. Was the Veteran given an HONORABLE  or  GENERAL DISCHARGE ?
  4. Is the Veteran or Surviving Spouse retired or IF NOT retired, then  unemployed ?
  5. Is the Veteran OR Spouse CURRENTLY RECEIVING ANY VA MONEY AWARD(s)  like Disability Payments, Dependents  Compensation Payments OR Survivors Pension ?  IMPORTANT NOTE : a  Veteran OR Surviving Spouse MAY ONLY RECEIVE THE GREATER of a Compensation Award OR  an A+A  Pension Award – NOT BOTH
  6. Does the Veteran or Surviving Spouse have a PRIVATE DOCTOR, not an HMO or PPO ?  OR, Vet or Surviving Surviving  Spouse is willing to FIND OR HAVE RELATIVES / FRIENDS HELP THEM FIND ONE ??  ( Meaning NOT  KAISER, NOT AETNA, NOT  BLUE CROSS / BLUE SHIELD, NOT  UNITED HEALTH, NOT  SCAN etc ! ) REASON ?   :  In our  years and over 1,600 pension award successes, we found  that HMOs & PPOs require the attending  Doctor  TO  NOT  FILL  ANY FORMS THEY MUST ALL BE SENT TO A CENTRAL  UNDER – WRITING FACILITY, USUALLY OUT OF STATE, AND THEY NEVER COMPLETE THE MOST IMPORTANT VA FORM the , ” Doctor’s  Evaluation  Form ”  properly  AND  THE VET  GETS   D E C L I N E D  ! !  Must have, or find a co-operative  PRIVATE  DOCTOR ! ! NOTE : if claimant is in a Care Facility, many already have a Doctor ON STAFF OR ON CALL and THAT physician will WORK PERFECTLY !!
  7. Is the Veteran or Surviving Spouse ALREADY PAYING FOR AND RECEIVING CARE IN A Senior Facility, OR RECEIVING CARE AT HOME FROM A PAID Healthcare Caregiver ?  ( VA Rules state that Caregiver can NOT be the spouse of the Veteran ! ), OR  READY TO BE PAYING FOR IN-HOME CARE OR ENTERING A Senior Living Facility IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS ?
